Prague: Day 3

The day started off great with another delicious breakfast provided by our hotel.  We woke up early enough that we got some eggs!  After filling ourselves we got ready for the day and headed out to sight see.  We took the metro to St. Charles Bridge and then walked up to the Prague Castle.  It was a very windy day up on top of the hill, but we still had fun taking jumping pictures outside of the palace.  Sarah and I also got a picture next to the serious guard.  We went into St. Vitus's Cathedral.  It is so beautiful.  There are so many stained glass windows and the ceiling is so tall.  We also went into he Basilica of St. George which still had some of the original fresco paintings on the ceilings.  We then took a little tour of the Old Royal Palace and we saw where some diplomates were thrown out the window and this started the Thirty Year War.  Then we walked down Golden Lane which is supposed to be a replica of shops that used to be there.  At the end of the street there was a great view of the whole city.  Katie and I sat down and waited while Sarah and Elysia went looking for a bathroom.  We were minding our own business and enjoying some apples when this guy randomly walks by us at takes pictures of us.  He walked away and we were pretty confused.  Then a few minutes later he comes back again and laughs and takes more pictures!  It was weird.  The other girls finally came back and we headed back to the city center.  We did a little more shopping and then got some dinner and a delicious Italian restaurant.  Sarah could even have pasta because they had gluten free pasta!  We were all really excited about that.  It was a very long and exhausting day so we headed back to our hotel and rested our legs for tomorrow.
